Family Promise vows to keep children, parents — and even their pets — together. We help families facing homelessness secure stable housing through safe shelter, caring connections, and building a community of support.
Diversion
Connects families with resources and partner agencies to help prevent eviction and find safe housing solutions.
Step-Up Housing
Provides temporary housing and on-site case management for employed families transitioning from our Emergency Shelter program as they work toward permanent housing.
Shelter
We provide families with children a safe place to stay during a housing crisis, with meals, pet accommodations, and case management to help them plan their next steps.
Stabilization
We support families for up to 24 months after they secure housing, offering case management, financial coaching, and resources to help them maintain stability.

Accomplished nonprofit leader with nearly 25 years of experience joins Phoenix organization dedicated to ending homelessness among children and parents.
TEMPE, AZ — One Valley mom is paying it forward after her own family went through the struggles of homelessness.
The dad spent 2 hours each way commuting to work by bus. Both parents had minimum wage jobs. The pandemic slid them into homelessness. Then Family Promise and 1-800 Charity Cars stepped in.

Family Promise is full of real people, with real passion, helping families and that lets me sleep at night knowing we are in safe hands.
When families become homeless, they have typically lost everything: finances, possessions, trusted lifelines. We won’t let them lose each other.
