Family Promise receives $100k from Thunderbirds Charities
Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, a nonprofit that serves families with children who are currently homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness, has been granted $100,000 from Thunderbirds Charities.
According to Taylor, this micro-housing village should be up and running by the end of summer. In addition, Taylor said discussions are already underway to build three more micro-housing villages in the Phoenix-metro area.
A small plot of land on 59th Avenue, just north of Bethany Home Road, has sat vacant for as long as anyone can remember. It’s less than half an acre and not a property a big developer would have their eyes on.
