General Questions
What is the A Journey Home capital campaign?
A Journey Home is Family Promise of Greater Phoenix’s three-year capital campaign aimed at expanding our capacity to serve families experiencing or at risk of homelessness across the Valley. The campaign will allow us to increase the number of families we serve annually from 180 to over 400, expand our innovative programs, and develop affordable housing solutions.
How much money is Family Promise trying to raise?

The total campaign goal is $4.2 million, of which $3,192,000 (76%) has already been raised.

What will the campaign funds be used for?
The campaign funds will be allocated to four key areas:

  • Expansion Across the Valley ($2,027,000): Increase shelter space and develop affordable housing option for families recently transitioning to stable housing.
  • Shelter Renovation: Earll Headquarters ($415,000): Complete building renovations including replacing single-pane glass and installing new A/C systems
  • Expanded Programming ($605,000): Expanded Programming ($605,000): Grow our Prevention Program and Graduate Program
  • Operational Capacity and Campaign Costs ($830,000): Support shelter operations and campaign administration
Why is this campaign necessary now?

In the past five years, Family Promise has grown from serving 100 families annually from one location to nearly 170 families through four locations. However, homelessness in Maricopa County continues to rise dramatically—increasing by 219% in the West Valley and 129% in the East Valley in just three years. Many families are still sleeping in cars or on borrowed sofas because of lack of available services. This campaign responds to this growing need.
