Phyllis has watched Family Promise of Greater Phoenix grow since 2005, when she joined the board. At that time there was 1 small shelter serving 35 families a year and now the organization operates 5 shelters serving over 200 families with expanded programs. Retired from an executive career in Human Resources and Organization Development, she has used her skills to serve a number of non-profits. She is currently a trustee of Beloit College, her alma mater in Wisconsin, and serves on the Forest Highlands Foundation in Flagstaff.

Phyllis and her husband Gene live in Scottsdale and have three children and 6 grandchildren. In their spare time they play golf and Bridge.
