Melinda Scissors Conley

Melinda is currently the Chief Executive Officer of People Asset Solutions, a business consulting firm focused on the achievement of corporate objectives through people. Melinda has worked with organizations on developing and enhancing their human capital practice, as well as governance practices.

Prior to her consulting business, Melinda has been a multi-disciplinary global strategic leader, with her most recent corporate experience serving as an Executive Officer for Kraton Corporation. She brings a wealth of business and human resources experience in multiple industries and global locations. Melinda has worked in multi-industries, including Chemicals, Consumer Packaged Goods, Financial Services, Aerospace, Retail, and Automotive, with additional consulting experience in Renewable Natural Gas, HVAC, among others.

Melinda moved to Arizona and was very quickly introduced to Family Promise of Greater Phoenix. She assisted in answering questions, related to her consulting business, and volunteered with fundraising events. Melinda found a match in Family Promise; her desire for helping others, who are also committed to helping themselves.

Melinda is looking forward to continuing her volunteering with Family Promise and bringing both her corporate experience and her prior not-for-profit Board of Directors experience to continuing to assist the mission of Family Promise of ending homelessness and, most importantly, helping families to achieve financial independence.

Melinda is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign for both her Bachelor’s (Speech Communication) and Master’s (Human Resources) Degrees, as well as a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2005.
