About Family Promise

Who we are &How we can help you

Family Promise was a blessing. They referred us to a social worker who helped us make a plan. We got help with diapers and formula. We felt safe and had private sleeping quarters. The atmosphere is so friendly and helpful, and the volunteers treated us with respect

Family Promise for Pets

Petsmart has made it possible for homeless families to receive shelter without having to part from the family pet. Family Promise was the first homeless shelter in Arizona to provide an on-site pet sanctuary, allowing children growing through the crisis of homelessness to keep their furry friend, an important point of stabiilty for kids whose life is in turmoil.

Petsmart has made it possible, through both cash and in-kind contributions, to launch the first ever Emergency Shelter for families with their pets in Arizona. There are many families in homelessness with their pets.

According to the Director, "it was just horrible to hear a homeless family refuse shelter because their pet(s) weren't welcome. Now we welcome the entire family, including the pets. Thank you so much Petsmart for making such a huge difference in the lives of these families.
