He was sporting a borrowed tie and looked as professional as he ever has. He was determined to get a job. This one would not slip away. One hour until the bus was to arrive at Family Promise we got a call from John. “Got it! I got it!” he exclaimed out of breath. John got the warehouse job.

News spreads like wildfire around here and before we knew it, all the volunteers knew too. We wanted to say congratulations to him and his hard work. His family has been through a lot, and they coudln’t be more relieved.

Three more of our guests have interviews this week and we wish them luck!

Family Promise has an urgent need for a volunteer who has a little extra time…and a truck! We get many calls from locals who have furniture to donate. We can’t say no, but have no way to pick up and transport the furniture. Our Executive Director picked up beautiful beds and dressers this week and delivered them straight to a graduated family.

They had been sleeping on the floor and could not be more thankful. We could not be more thankful if you could refer someone to us who would fit this need. Please call the office at 480-659-5227 if you can help. Thank you!!
